Our digital translation platform seeks to unify the fragmented landscape of the mental health research sectors by bringing them under one roof.
It’s our goal to increase the collaborative potential across the mental health research settings by hosting networks, online community spaces to connect, provide implementation and translation resources, and ways to collaborate for change and transformation of our mental health care system.
The ALIVE Next Generation Researcher Network delivers the National Centre’s National Capacity Building Strategy. The Network will engage and develop the next generation of mental health research leaders. Tailored career development pathways and mentorship for lived-experience researchers is provided by the Lived-Experience Research Collective.
The Lived-Experience Research Collective provides tailored career development, mentoring, training and establishes pathways and research opportunities for mental health researchers in universities with lived-experience (both individuals who identify as experiencing mental-ill health and carer/family and kinship group member researchers) and in community, non-government or government organisations.
The ALIVE National Centre operates research activities to understand scalability, implementability and transferrability for the delivery of at-scale mental health care via its Implementation and Translation Network. The activities focus on new models of care, innovations in mental health care and ways to improve experiences of care using implementation and demonstration project study designs.
The ALIVE National Centre Co-Design Living Labs network provides a national capability for embedding lived-experience in end-to-end research design to translation. This is a network across our 15 university partners to bring together capabilities in co-design for mental health care transformation with over 2000 members who have experienced mental ill-health, distress, trauma or caring for someone as a family/carer or kinship group member.
The ALIVE National Centre is funded by the NHMRC Special Initiative in Mental Health.
