The Alex McLeod Training Award is named in honour of Beverly Harding, whose son Alex lived with mental ill-health and died far too early in 2021.
This award recognises the 20year relationship we have held with Bev as a research participant and then as a co-designer and lead with the University of Melbourne since 2003. The aim of the award is to foster co-design skills development and grow the capabilities within the membership of the Co-Design Living Labs Network.
Through the training award co-designers will be provided with opportunities to gain more experience about co-designing for service improvement and systems change and to become more engaged in leading co-design research, convening and facilitating groups within the network. The goal is that we grow the membership base to operate and own the activities that are conducted within it.
